Unbalanced wheels

If the serviceable wheel balanced on the car has to be mounted again, for example, after check of a brake, it has to be screwed on a wheel nave in the same situation, as earlier. For this purpose designate the assembly provision of a rim and nave (arrow) as it is shown here.

Imbalance of wheels is felt on vibration in a wheel and jolting in forward part of the car. Especially strongly it is shown at certain speeds. The reason is covered in uneven distribution of weight to a wheel.

Balancing of wheels

Wheels have to be exposed to static and dynamic balancing. For this purpose there are two methods:

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. The wheel of the car acts and put on the balancing car. There it rotates for check. Thanks to it receive information on an imbalance which is leveled by addition of lead sinkers.
  2. The exception of a residual imbalance requires exact balancing. Thus the imbalance of a nave of a wheel and a brake disk is leveled. Wheels by car are given to rotation with the necessary speed by means of the electric motor with a frictional disk, and, thus, receive data on a residual imbalance. It is leveled again by means of lead sinkers.
  3. For exact balancing of wheels of Audi A4, all four wheels of the car have to be lifted.
  4. Due to the lack of own drive back wheels in front-wheel Audi at dynamic balancing are given to rotation by the electric motor with a frictional wheel.
