Dismantle of the petrol pump with the electric drive

The so-called module of supply of fuel consists from:

1 – fixing nuts for connection of the pump to power supply;
2 – electricity cables from a deaf flange to the fuel pump;
3 – a collar for wires/hose;
4 – fuel hose;

5 – deaf flange;
6 – tightening collars;
7 – the basic case with the fuel pump.


Quattro: the hose between the fuel pump (1) and a deaf flange (2) has to be established as is shown in drawing.


Forward drive: in drawing it is shown how the hose between the fuel pump (1) and a deaf flange is mounted (2). At installation turn a deaf flange on an arrow as it is represented on the right.

At the left: in this cut fuel tank it is shown how the fuel pump is dismantled. Though the special tool (1) which turns a little to the left an internal detail (2) cases of an inlet collector is for this purpose necessary. The tool takes the pads (arrow) of dredging of an internal detail.

On the right: with an internal detail (2) cases of an inlet collector in an external detail (3) of its cases it is necessary for installation of the fuel pump (1) that there was correct an assembly situation: risk on an internal detail of the case of an inlet collector has to be opposite to a mark on an external detail (arrow).

It is work already for Audi workshop as the fuel pump is dismantled together by an internal detail of the case of an inlet collector, and it can be unscrewed from an external detail of an inlet collector only by means of a special key 3307. The one who can borrow a key, has to act as follows:

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Be convinced that the fuel tank is filled at most on 2/3, otherwise gasoline will flow out!
  2. Cast away a floor covering of a luggage carrier.
  3. Unscrew a black cover.
  4. Disconnect the mnogoshtyrkovy socket.
  5. Disconnect the recirculation pipeline.
  6. Disconnect the giving pipeline.
  7. Unscrew a synthetic cap nut. Most often they sit very strongly. Therefore establish the most stupid screw-driver on a nut edge, and a lung in blows of a hammer to the handle of a screw-driver weaken fastening of a nut. If it is necessary, knock on different edges.
  8. Now it is possible to pull a little up a deaf flange of a fuel tank.
  9. Weaken on inside of a deaf flange tightening a collar of the recirculation pipeline and pull together a hose down.
  10. Take out the socket of a fuel tank.
  11. Establish a special key 3307 on an internal detail of the case of an inlet collector.
  12. Turn a little to the left against the stop an internal detail of the case of an inlet collector.
  13. Take out the pump with an internal detail and together with a deaf flange from a fuel tank.
  14. Mark/remember assembly position of the pump, hoses, wires and linking of wires as details at installation have to be mounted precisely.
  15. After unscrewing of the delivery pipeline (assembly situation) the pump can be dismantled from an internal detail of the case of an inlet collector. It becomes on a miscellaneous depending on the version of the pump:
  16. Pump of 60 mm: turn a sieve under an internal detail of the case of an inlet collector to the left, take out the pump. At installation the nose sideways on the pump has to be pushed in a groove. Pay attention to laying.
  17. Pump of 40 mm: squeeze an unblocking collar above on an internal detail of the case of an inlet collector, take out the pump. At installation the pump can be inserted only in one situation.
  18. Installation: mount a hose between the pump and a deaf flange as it is shown in drawings. The pump and a deaf flange have to be in the correct situation relatively each other.
  19. If everything is collected correctly, the pump can be mounted again in an external detail of the case of an inlet collector in a fuel tank.
  20. It is necessary to pay attention: the mark in an external detail has to stand opposite risks on an internal detail.
  21. Again screw up an internal detail a key 3307, establish other details.
  22. Assembly provision of a deaf flange: the arrow on a flange has to be opposite to a mark in a fuel tank. Cars with the drive on forward and on all wheels have an own arrow.
