Electronic system of distribution of brake effort (EBV)

Audi A4 does without traditional regulator of brake effort for back wheels. Instead of mechanical or hydraulic control pressure uses the hydraulic ABS module for electronic distribution of brake effort (Elektronische Bremskraft-Verteilung). It is carried out by the ABS control unit.

The control unit by means of the sensor of number of turns controls delay of each back wheel and compares sizes of a lobby and a back axis. If when braking distinction between number of turns of lobbies and back wheels too big, pressure upon brakes of back wheels decreases by means of electromagnetic valves in the hydraulic module. In such a way excessive braking of a back axis is not allowed, Audi remains in a track.
